The Music Room Hosts Dazzling Greek Fashion Designer Show Featuring Top Greek Models and Singer Lefteriz Pantazis.

Famous Greek singer Lefteris Pantazis, nicknamed LEPA, made a sensational appearance singing his popular hits and latest single released from his recent CD. His performance was a dazzling finale to the first fashion show in Dubai by well-known fashion designers NIKOS-TAKIS. Dubai’s fashionistas and the Greek community packed into Majestic Hotel’s Music Room to view NIKOS-TAKIS breathtaking evening gowns worn by Greek top models, a former Miss Greece and Miss Tourism among them.

The event was organized by Mr. Kyriakos Keranopoulos, President of the Greek Fashion Designer’s Association in Greece. “Dubai is a beautiful booming city and one of the key cities for fasion. It is fantastic that we could bring these unique and gorgeous designs to be viewed here and I have had great feedback from the people here. We will definitely be coming back bringing in all the top Greek designers with their glamorous pieces!” said Mr. Keranopoulos.

Nikos-Takis are a long-established team in Greece, their first show kicking off with great success in Greece in 1971. Their prêt a porter collections and haute couture designs are in high demand and they have even branched out into accessories and men’s lines. The event was also Mr. Pantazis’s first appearance in Dubai. He is a veteran of the Greek music industry, with many platinum albums to his credit. He is considered a legendary performer, long-established and successful and has gone on many world tours with destinations including the USA and Australia.
The combination of the fashion show with the performance of Le-Pa was an incredible success and the end of the evening found the crowd on its feed swaying to the Greek beat of his latest hits. The evening rounded up at a cocktail held by the Majestic Hotel at the poolside where guests sampled Greek delicacies from Elia, the hotel’s flagship Greek restaurant which features the award winning cuisine of chef Yiannis Baxevanis. “This has been a very memorable evening. We are incredibly honoured to have had Mr. Pantazis perform here tonight and to have had the chance to view the new collection of Nikos-Takis as worn by these beautiful Greek top models,” said Mrs. Fay Economides, Majestic Hotel’s PR and Marketing Director.
